Message Hi Paul, thanks for posting this larger photo. the cyclical date is noted above but is meaningless for practical purposes due to the information in the rest of the inscription, which claims that the work is by "shi fu", a nickname belonging to Ming dynasty painter Qiu Ying. The seals are also "Qiu's" seals. However in fact this is a modern (no earlier than the 1980s I'd think) decorative painting, not by Qiu, whose work this does not resemble. A number of Qiu's finest works are in the National Palace Museum, Taiwan, and there are a number of his landscapes in a blue and green palette in various other museum collections elsewhere.
