I have 26 photographs of Meiji Restoration Japan. Most are of Kyoto and its surroundings. Each photo has an overlay that describes the location in both Japanese and English. I believe this was a souvenir/gift to my great grandfather who was Bishop of the Episcopal Church. He traveled to Asia several times.
I am listing it on GoAntiques for auction. Since it is such an unusual item, if you know anyone who has a strong interest in Japanese history, please spread the word. I need for the photos to sell.
