Sgraffito Vase |
Posted By: tony bonn Posted Date: Mar 03, 2009 (08:56 PM) |
Message I believe that i have a sgraffito vase of sinuous inverted tapering form having sporadic coin medallions of polychrome floral and whimsical motifs all over vase. The vase opens with a slight collar rim. The lovely blue ground is ever so faintly impressed with swirling brush hair decoration. The underside has a very small rounded foot along with a chianlong seal script reign mark in red. vase stands 11". I would appreciate any help on the identification of age and description of the vase. the form seems too daring for a late ching work although many pieces of that period are of excellent quality. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
