Message Good Morning everyone, I was wondering if any of you could help me with this piece. I received it from an older family friend who traveled extensively in her earlier years. She told me this was Chinese, old and valuable (perhaps to her only ) I have no knowledge of asian pottery and would appreciate any feedback you might provide. The vase is 6.5" tall, the fat bottom part is 11.5" around and the base is a hair over 2", the top opening is 2 1/4". The glaze is smooth with a few very fine ridges when you run your fingers over the finish. Thanks so much in advance.
