Mysterious drum stick? |
Posted By: Claude de Sainteville Posted Date: Feb 04, 2008 (11:48 PM) |
Message Dear antique lovers; This is another discovery I recently made in Cambodia. A peasant sold me this surprising piece of metal on which extremity you can see a piece of iron wood which has been inserted to the stick. He told me it was used in the past as a drum stick in a temple. Any other idea? How old do you think it is? I find this piece extremely beautiful. Too beautiful to have been recently made for sure.Dimensions: 34,7 cm long and 2,6 cm thick. Weight: 583 grams. Your comments welcome anytime! Claude ![]() |
