Indian Art Market |

Message Hello, My name is Kerry Owens and I am a student at University of London's Master in History of Art program. I am completing my dissertation on how the increasing wealth in the Indian culture has effected how Indians purchase art. I was hoping that you would be able to answer a few questions on the topic. You do not need to be an expert – I am simply interested in your own thoughts. o Do you think that resident Indian's buy more Indian or non-Indian art? Why do you think they chose the art they chose? o Do you think that non-resident Indian's buy more Indian or non-Indian art? Why do you think they chose the art they do? o What other nationalities are buying Indian art? o Do you think Indians buy more non-Indian or Indian art as their income increases or does it stay the same? Why do you think this is the case? o Do you think most Indian collectors buy art for investment or pleasure? o If for investment, why do you think people are investing in art: because of a lack or other investment opportunities or due to an unstable stock market or for other reasons (please specify)? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I can be contacted at this email address: kowen01@students.bbk.ac.uk. Thank you and very kind regards, Kerry Owens Masters History of Art Program Birkbeck University of London England Post a Response |
