Message The reason I ask is that "chairs" weren't widely used throughout the Far East. You picture shows a rattan back and side panels?? Bamboo arms ?? Or is that all carved wood? If I had to guess that is something made for the western trade, perhaps in China or India. But that's only a wild guess and I wouldn't have a clue as to age. Doesn't look too comfortable, does it?
