Message The base has an apocryphal stamped-on Qing mark of 'Made during the Qianlong reign'. The form of the pot and, to a lesser extent, the figural painting style varies from the traditional enough that without a mark on the base, I might have guessed this to be a Chantilly piece from France or other European example of Chinoiserie. I'd still say that Modern Chinese or Korean manufacture remains a probability. Best regards, Bill H. Post a Response |
