Message The mark, which appears to be from a secondary impression, reads "Qian long yu zhu" (乾隆御製}, "Made by Imperial Order, Qianlong Reign". Also the base exhibits evidence of reduction, probably by modern machine tools. This suggests that your otherwise attractive Chinese cast image of two animated players of Weiqi (圍棋), or "Go" in Japan, may be no older than the early-to-mid-20th century, the latter dating being apt if the rather pristine-looking stand is any indication.
