Subject:Identification of Japanese Showa era sculptor
Posted By: Bert Sun, Aug 29, 2021 IP: 88.109.152.115

Dear all,

it would be great if someone could help with the identification of the sculptor of a bronze okimono that I recently purchased. The bronze is from the Showa era but is not signed. The original storage box carries however a signature (see picture) that may help identifying the artist and the date of manufacture.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Bert

Dear Mr. Nagy,

thank you so much for your help with the translation! Although the identity of the artist is still a mystery, it at least confirms my suspicion that the storage box is the original one for the piece.

Best regards,
Bert
