Subject:Metal lidded pot made from base metals???

Unusual 3.5" tall lidded jar with roundels with dripped blue glass highlights around the body sat on 3 feet marked china to base wondering how old and what it is for also if anyone thinks it is nice quality as i do? Seems over engineered so how lovely quality.

Could this be a cartridge for an opium lamp? Otherwise just a lidded jar, maybe?

Thanks for taking the time to reply to this listing i do see similarities in the items and think it is fairly modern certainly 20th century maybe in any case a nicely made thing thanks :)
