Found characters and art after removing from frame. I could not get characters translated. The picture was from family stationed in Japan maybe late 40's

Thank you for the response. Because of the brush stroke coming from the last character I assumed the picture was actually painted. Can you tell me anything about the picture or the artist? If not where would I go to find out about the painting? Thanks again for the translation.

In my frank opinion, this work can be considered more Chinese than Japanese.　Numerous Christian painters were active in China before the war.
Cannot say for sure as it has not been signed.
In addition, the short prayer texts can be read in both languages.
