Great if i can help some help on this porcelain rooster bowl passed down from my grandparents. Great if someone can help identify the period and if it’s of any value? Or any additional information would be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!!

In my opinion this is a modern / vintage piece in poor imitation of 19th and early 20th century chinese bowl decoration. The mark reads "da qing nian zhi" (Great Qing Year Made) and is apocryphal, so not of the period. Only of decorative value.

Kind regards

Madria

Actually the seal mark reads 同治年製 Tong Zhi nian zhi。

TongZhi was a Qing dynasty emperor, but the mark does not mention Great or Qing

You are, of course, absolutely right. Thank you for the correction. I wondered about the strange mark but got distracted and could not follow upon it. Sorry for any inconvenience. But regarding the qulaity of the piece I stand to my initial assessment. Thanks again for the update, mikeoz.
