Patrick here again!! The reason I asked about the Japanese marks is because I thought I found a site which had the expertise to decipher them.! Yes I even paid an "expert" to decipher Japanese marks but three weeks later he still had not deciphered the marks ,so I knew I was wasting my time! I picked these up at a car boot sale in december and still can't get information on them, hoping I'm not wasting your time. Now looking at all the replies you get, it looks like this great site is full of experts !!! regards Patrick

Both items that you have presented, are modern Kutani style wares, produced after 1970. Your best source for help would be... www.gbouvier.com

Thank you Lloyd, I just new I could get the information on this site, by the way I also have a Japanese Koro with three foo dogs,maybe you can help again. regards Patrick

the mark is EIWA KINSEI, Respectfully made by Eiwa. These are late 20th century Japanese transfer print porcelains.
