Subject:What are these

Hi I am trying to determine what these are. They appear to be brass and are stamped Korea on the back.
Thanks

they are meant as wishes for a happy marriage, but I am not of their functional purpose

The size isn't apparent from the photos, but these look like they may be ash trays or nut dishes. The Chinese character means "double happiness", transcribed "xi" in Mandarin and "huy" in Korean.

The "double happiness" character is prominently displayed at Chinese and Korean marriages and their anniversaries. These brass items could have been made as wedding gifts or for use at wedding receptions and other happy occasions.

Best regards,

Bill H.

They look like ashtrays from a wedding banquet. Hence the 'double happiness' symbol

at first I thought seals, but on closer look I think they are meant to be a type of tally.
Having the opposing section was proof of authority..
Whether genuine or not I cant tell...
