The mark reads "Seiya saku" (made by Seiya).
Genryusai Seiya was a Japanese workshop specialized in high quality exotic bronze models of animals (tigers, elephants, crocodiles, bulls etc) but also human figures and vases, made for the export market, late 19th century (middle Meiji period).

Don't know if there are specific online resources for this type of Japanese items. There are specialized websites and forums for Japanese prints, netsuke and porcelain marks.

Best thing to do to maximize the potential of the wonderful Google search engine by using combined relevant keywords like 'japanese'; 'meiji'; bronze; 'statue' etc...

The sites of reputed auction houses with a department of Asian art like Chisties, Bonhams, Skinner, Pierre Bergé, Klefish, Lempertz etc have also a public archive with search function of sold lots or access to catalogues of past auctions. Try also the image databases of the Asian collections of the British Museum, MFA Boston, LACMA, to name a few.

There are also online booksellers, spelialized in Asian art.

Succes.
