Subject:Re: Identification of Japanese Studio Pottery
Posted By: kk Mon, Jan 10, 2011 I had seem a number of them in the San Francisco bay area, but they are not signed, I always thought they are studio pottery export from Japan. The style is correct from Japan 60-70's. I think I am pretty good with ceramic history in the California. I can't recall any famous potter work in this period in this style in California. I would be happy to know the answer too. |

Posted By: Matthew Tue, Jan 11, 2011 Thanks to both of you. Yes, this would also make since in that the two large vases are same form but different glaze - so perhaps a studio that was manufacturing in volume and shipping. I never thought they were rare or valuable, but I do love the glazes they used. |
