A carved box perhaps of rosewood. Features a flowing Chrysanthemum on its lid.
Lid has a wooden hinge apparatus. When opened, it has a shallow storage area.

Has its original finish. No markings.

Measures 3 5/8" x 4" x 1 5/8"; 92.1 mm X 101.6 mm X 41.3 mm
Would appreciate any thoughts.
