Posted By: Lee Sat, Jul 25, 2026 IP: 71.188.57.99

Hello! I am very interested in identifying the maker of this tetsubin based on these marks. I'd love any help or leads. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

Engraved marking,
龍文堂造 - Ryūbundō-zō - Made by Ryūbundō

Ryūbundō was a manufacturer of iron teapots in Kyōto, that had been in business for eight generations, from the late Edo period through the early Shōwa period.

Bottom marking、
紅隣堂造 Kōrindō-zō - Made by Kōrindō

Probably name of an associated workshop or a foundry.

With regards,
I.Nagy
