Hello. I'd like to present you a glass snuffbottle with blue and black enameled decoration. It is signed in red at the bottom. Any comments are more than welcome.

Dear John,

The mark on the base of this piece is Guyue Xuan (古月軒), which translates to "Pavilion of the Ancient Moon." This is a mark of the renowned type of Chinese snuff bottles made to refer to Qing Dynasty. But it doesn't mean its old. the enamel decoration is dominated by a group of auspicious fruits and flowering vines, expressing wishes for prosperity, longevity, and numerous descendants.

The Pomegranate (石榴, shíliu) specifically dominates. It with its numerous seeds symbolizes plentifulness and offers blessings to have many children.

Best regards,
Renato from Brazil

I agree this is not an original Guyuexuan object but the decoration may instead be the "eight Buddhist emblems"(which first appeared on Chinese porcelain through the influence of Tibetan Buddhism during the Yuan era), though only four are shown on the side of the bottle in your photos.

A quick list of these items and (hard to see) examples of their depiction on some fancier objects is here: https://tutuhaoyi.com/motifs-symbols/eight-auspicious-emblems
