"E-awase Meika Kurabe" (Comparison of Famous and Great Flowers)

Kabuki actor Nakamura Shikan is in the role of magician Kashataro. Torii of Miyajima is depicted on the upper inset.

The Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island in Aki Provine is depicted in the upper part of the picture.
In the Kabuki story, Kesataro pretends to be a geisha, but in reality he is a thief. He is trying to steal the Taira clan treasures that have been kept at the Itsukushima Shrine.
