Good morning everyone. I have this painting with Kameda Bosai's signature and seals. The text appears to be composed of the same characters as the preface to Mountains of the Heart (Kyōchūzan 胸中山). Can anyone help me with the translation or any information? Thank you for your attention and best wishes for the New Year.

Dear Andrea,

The content of the inscription is identical to the preface, except for the five characters in the first line and the date. In my humble opinion,
despite all the similarities, the inscription on the picture is the calligraphy of another person.

此為即我胸中之山也惟是言告無法莫有
所依自知其険劣之丑醉心聞餘奥所集耳
鵬斎老人寫
This is precisely the mountain within my heart.
Yet these words are but declarations without substance, without support.
I myself know its danger, inferiority, and ugliness.
Drunkenly, I listen to the remaining mysteries collected here.

Dear Nagy, thank you once again. There are many things, not only in the handwriting, but also in the lines and composition, that cast doubt on the authenticity of the painting. Compared to other works by Bosai. There are, however, similarities in the handwriting and drawing, as well as the seals and text arrangement, with this piece, which LACMA attributed to Bosai for some time. Kind regards.
