Subject:Need help of identifying

Hello,
I can read two chinese characters in this brush case, 宋 and 穆, but I cannot identify the personnages as well as the event described here. Can anyone of you help me?

The characters indicate 宋穆(公) - Duke Mu of Song (?-720 BC)
- was a monarch of the Song Dynasty during the Spring and Autumn period.
Not much is known about his life.
