Subject:Mysterious Plate

Hello all,

I am having trouble identifying this plate.. The foot seems unusual? Is this a Kabuki actor? Anyways here are some photos.. It is approx 9 inches in diameter. Thanks so much for your time! :)

Maybe either amateur pottery or pretty old? The foot looks unusual for 19th century Chinese right? I am gonna guess maybe an amateur pottery experimenting? perhaps a little old? Wish Peter were here! Hope he is having a great vacation down there!! :) Were the Chinese Kabuki Actors as well? I first thought it was Japanese but I am really stumped!
