Subject:Japanese Tin Badge / Medal?
Posted By: Steve Wed, Feb 26, 2025 IP: 185.228.19.175

H, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what this badge says, and what it was for?

Any idea how old it might be?

Its about an inch and a half long and has a small clip on the back

Thanks in advance!

It is likely a school badge in shape of cherry blossom, The character on the badge reads "國”(Kuni/Koku) which may stand for 國高 (國立高校) Kunitachi High School, 國學院高校 Kokugakuin High School etc.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Thank you Nagy! Any guess as to the age of such a badge?

I believe that it can be dated to the years before WWII,
