SHOULD I TRY CHIPPING CLEANING THE FOOTRIM TO LEVEL IT TAKE SOME PIECES OF THE FOOTRIM TO SMOOTH IT OUT. THANKS NOT SURE MOULDED OR CARVED

Do not try to clean it. Better to leave it as is.

Please open a new forum-post for every item you want someone to look at. Otherwise it gets messy and confusing quickly. You should never try to clean your items (other than maybe doing a bit of dusting). Leave restoration and larger cleaning jobs to a specialist. Well-meaning but improper handling can quickly damage a piece. Not only does it lose value, but a piece of history is also inevitably lost.
