Posted By: RAY1968 Wed, Nov 06, 2024 IP: 109.153.42.20

Hi All

I Have a rather nice Japanese vase as shown and 9 inches tall. I would appreciate some help with the translation of the signature to the underside.

Kind regards

Ray

Signed 大日本京都住 宮部 (Dai-Nihon, Kyōto jū, Miyabe) - Great Japan, Kyoto resident, Miyabe, followed by a 'kakihan' (written artist's seal).

Miyabe Atsuyoshi (宮部篤良), worked in Kyoto late 19th, early 20th century. Pupil of Shinoyama Tokuoki (1813-1891).

Guy.
