Subject:Any information on this Chinese B&W Eggshell Porcelain Tea Cup (with handle) & saucer

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, once again I find myself in need of your considerable wisdom & knowledge. I shall thank anyone who answers in advance as I have never been disappointed with either the quantity or the quality of the information I have received on this forum.

Ok...
Can someone please give me their (more educated than my) opinion on whether this cup & saucer is old, of any quality or even actually Chinese for that matter!?! (any information would be appreciated)
It is a (I'm assuming) Chinese underglaze blue & white eggshell porcelain lobed cup & saucer. (The cup with handle).
The body is extremely thin & translucent, in fact the light can be seen through the body without holding it up, quite remarkable. It is of a six sided lobed form with three lobes to each side (both cup & saucer). The handle of the cup is molded with "knots" to resemble bamboo.
Decorated with a scene of Seven (not 8) Immortals in what I would consider traditional Chinese or Ming Style robes, several carrying gourds standing amongst bamboo, pine, rocks and clouds. I'm uncertain how to explain the border so I'll just say that it has one. (The border is part of what has made me question what I was thinking about this piece, it just doesn't "feel" right to me). The decoration is definitely a form of transfer but if my knowledge of English use of china transfers carries across at all they are quite good ones, having been applied in several layers. For instance the faces of the figures having been applied separately from their bodies, the bamboo & pine in yet another layer.
*** NotablE: The Foot Rim of the cup is not on its base as I would have thought but around the lip of the cup! One can feel a slight roughness around the lip however it is barely noticeable, very well done. The Foot Rim of the saucer is as one would expect though very very neatly finished.

Once again, many thanks, any opinions greatly appreciated.
