The Twelve Beauties of Yongzheng (No.6)
In the Palace Museum, there is a group of paintings called "The Twelve Beauties of Prince Yong". Each of them is the same size, 1.84 meters long and 0.98 meters wide.
Not much is known about this group of paintings. There is no signature of the artist, nor the name of the painting. The name of the twelve beauties was determined later.
In the 50s of the last century, the staff of the Palace Museum in Beijing found them when cleaning the treasury of Yanxi Palace. It is now in the collection of the Palace Museum in Beijing.
Your picture is a modern scaled-down and artificially aged copy of the picture No.6 with the fake signature and seal imprint of the famous Italian-born court painter Lang Shinin 郎世寧(Giuseppe Castiglione) 1688-1786.
