Many such jars were made in China during the 19th and early 20th centuries for export to the Thai market, where they were embellished with the now tarnished bronze cladding seen in my photos below. Yours apparently remained in China to serve the domestic popular and restaurant market, where the lack of such cladding is evident in the damage accrued to the rims. Still an attractive example for display.
The cleaner foot on my example may date it to circa the mid 19th century, prior to the 1855 Taiping Rebel invasion of and destruction inflicted on the Jingdezhen porcelain production center in Jiangxi Province. If not, then it is early Republic Period (1912-49).
