Posted By: Steve Gridley Thu, Sep 07, 2023 In my opinion this looks like a 20th Century antigorite serpentinite carving. Not as fine carving as I've seen in early Chinese work and the reverse seems to have "saw" lines crisscrossing the valleys of the raised areas. I included a photo of an early Qing white jade belthook I sold several years ago for carving comparison. |
