Subject:Identification of Seals on a Painting
Posted By: Henk Vynckier Sun, May 14, 2023 IP: 125.231.131.23 I would appreciate help with identifying the name of the artist of a painting inherited by a relative. There are two seals as shown in the photos and I understand that the first one is the Ying (white) seal and the second the Yang (red) seal. I have asked local collectors and antique dealers but have not been able to identify the artist so far. I can add that the artist resided in Taiwan and may have been a member of the post-49 diaspora from China as the work was in the collection of someone who came from China in 1948 and was well-connected to the so called 外生 community. With my thanks to the managers of this forum and the experts who devote their time to it. |
