Posted By: Bill H Sun, Dec 11, 2022 That's a beauty, Mark. The photo of its base needs a 180-degree flip to read properly. Then the four character stack reads down as "Kin ko zan Tsukuru or Zo" (錦光山造) "Made by Kinkozan". The seal and following character appear possibly to be "In Ga" (印画) with a meaning simply of "Mark of the Painter". As usual, you should place more trust in I.Nagy than me in matters Japanese. |

Posted By: Martin Michels Thu, Dec 15, 2022 Is there any possibility the name in the square seal is Momo 百百, the name of the painter? I have several marks of Momo together with Kinkozan and the Kanji in the seal look to me as 2 百. |
