Subject:Chinese Horizontal Scroll 40 Feet Long - Boxed
Posted By: Jim Val Tue, Feb 02, 2021 IP: 72.65.52.171 Would like to know the age and value of this horizontal scroll. The scroll is 12 inches wide, and 40 feet long. There is a 4 1/2 foot leader strip at each end with 30 feet of art work. Scenes are of country side, rivers, boats, pagodas, temples, very detailed. The outer leader has a fabric strap with a jade clasp. The inner leader seems to be wound on a dowl, with jade ends. The box is wrapped in fabric. |
