Hi , this vase is about 16" / 30cm high, with 3 decorative panels, 2 cartouches to the shoulders and stylised leaf mark to the base. I'd be interested to hear any opinions as to age and origin, my best guess is Arita 1920s.

The mountain with stream is the mark of the Fukagawa Seiji company.
Eizaemon Fukagawa started the Fukagawa company in 1875 (Koransha = Scented Orchid Company) and after his death in 1889, his oldest son, Yotaro succeeded the company. In 1894 his 2nd son Chuji Fukagawa started the Fukagawa Porcelain Company (Seiji) with this mountain and stream mark.

Indeed Arita porcelain, date: beginning of 20th C.

This is a Fukagawa mark, which the blog-spot for Modern Japanese Pottery and Porcelain Marks indicates was used from the 1890s to the 1910s. Fukagawa established its base at Mikawachi, the old Hirado kiln site, after the 1868 Meiji Rebellion. Mikawachi is indeed in the producing area for Arita porcelain.

Thank you. The Mount Fuji mark is so obvious when you know.I am learning so much from this forum and all of you who have been so wonderfully informative and generous with sharing your knowledge. The vase actually has 4 panels, 2 are dragons and the 4th is this crazy kylin amongst flowers. I also have a plate which is stylistically similar to some other works I have seen of the Fukagawa family factory, it has this underglaze blue seal mark which I can't seem to find . I'll post more images on a separate thread.
