Japanese Hirado mark saying: Hirado 平戸 San 産 Giei 伎栄 (or Shiei) Zo 造 (product of Hirado, made by Giei).
"Hirado San" is an abbreviation of "Hirado Seisan" (= Hirado product).
In 1871 a workshop was founded called "The Nagasaki Hirado Trading Company", which was a Hirado ware maker, decorator and exporter, mainly to The Netherlands. They signed their products with:
- Hirado San - Giei Zo
- Manpozan - Giei Sei
- Manpozan - Shoho Sei
Manpozan is a fictitious name and Giei might be Shiei.
