Mingei Japanese Arts
Exhibiting at: 5, rue Visconti, Paris |
|
Galerie Mingei Japanese Arts is specialized in the ancient and contemporary decorative arts of Japan. It has been established in its current space in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood since 2014, and is run by Philippe Boudin and his wife Maiko Takenobu. The gallery is well-known for its thematic exhibitions and its monograph shows devoted to individual artists. Mingei Japanese Arts is one of the few European galleries that promotes the little known Japanese bamboo wickerwork arts, and it will present a large selection of works in that medium at this year's Parcours des Mondes.
