The delicately beautiful thangka painting depicting a golden-bodied, blue haired Tangtong Gyalpo, the “builder of iron bridges”. Who lived 1361-1485. Legend has it he was refused passage on a ferry across a river due to his wild appearance. He then proceeded to build bridges throughout Tibet, thereby facilitating the spread of the Buddha’s teachings.
