Looking to the Jokhang’s Roof, east
side of the kora

| This alley leads to a rear entrance of the Jokhang and another small temple, before emerging on the north side of the kora. Tibetans use it as a short cut to the market or other place without contradicting the usual proper clockwise religious direction for walking on a kora. (Tibetan Buddhists of the Bon order walk counter-clockwise.) |
