Cotton appliqu� with cotton chain and feather stitching

This robe uses a combination of cut-out and strip appliqu�. Chain stitching and a decorative feather stitch were also used. Complete symmetry was intended although not precisely achieved. The use of Japanese patterned cotton for the appliqu� is uncommon.
