A Jun Bottle Vase
Northern Song dynasty (960-1126)
11th/12th century
11 5/8 inches (9.5 cm)

The pear shaped body rising from a short spreading foot to a flaring narrow cylindrical neck, covered overall with a soft lavender blue glaze suffused with a light crackle, the footring revealing the dark purplish-brown body.
