I am looking for help to translate the signature on this painting and box. Any assistance is appreciated.

Hello Gabe.

I'll take a first stab although not enough time right now to be complete and probably contains errors.

Painting:
Sig - 百道筆
Seal - 百

Box Cover:
㐂ぶ川髙道筆太夫xxx

Hopefully, someone who knows what they are doing will be along shortly.

Thank you for this translation, I am very grateful for it. Is there an indication that this is purely a 20th century work as the depiction of the Tayū is obviously referencing an earlier time period?
