Subject:Chinese bowl

Hello Everyone
I got hold of this 20th cedntury bowl which I love. I just cannot fathom what the script on the back says and who this thoughtful character might be taking rest over a rock. It has a lovely shape. Can anyone help? Many thanks in advance.

Without viewing the foot it's difficult to say exactly when it was made.
But based on the picture it is highly probable to be made during the Republic period 1912-49.
Is it a bowl or wine cup?
