Subject:Chinese Archaic Jade Disc.
Posted By: Mingblue Mon, Jul 27, 2020 IP: 27.125.135.241 A beautifully carved archaic jade disc. Shows 3D carvings of ‘ chi longs’ ( dragons ) on both sides. One side has deeper carvings than the other side. Translucent also and supposedly from original white jade. Measures 3.5ins in diameter and 0.25ins thick ( excluding the carvings ). Personally owned. A Han dynasty piece. Comments are welcome. |

Posted By: Mark Adams Tue, Jul 28, 2020 This is not Han dynasty jade. It's a 20th century copy typically sold as tourist type ware. You can clearly see the broken lines indicating modern drill. I doubt that it is genuine untreated jade. |
