Preface was written by Jippensha Ikku 十返舎一九
Japanese writer of late Edo period.
The book contains figure sketches for learning how to draw topics arranged in syllabic (Abc) order by Katsushika Hokusai.

According to the available informations this book was published first in 1817 part I, 1819 part II,under the title Ehon-hayabiki, then in a single edition in 1890s with
this modified title.
