Subject:Jade pendant
Posted By: GerryG Sun, Aug 12, 2018 IP: 2001:bb6:3701:1e58:9 I acquired this recently. It seems to me a white jade or pale celadon reticulated pendant of a phoenix perched on a branch with vines contained in a beaded surround. The green bead attachment is glass (presumably Peking). Under a loupe it shows characteristics of old carving. It feels right, has a nice soft translucency and the polishing has produced a sheeny waxy feel/appearance. It measure just over two inches in diameter. Any and all comments welcome. Rgds Gerry |
