Dear Rémy, thank you very much.
Any hint on the age or style?

Best regards Joe

The enameled portions around the opening highlight the "Eight Buddhist Treasures" (Ba Bao in Mandarin Chinese). See the link for further information from Wikipedia.org.

Best regards,

Dear Bill, dear Remy,

thx (again) for your support and help.
'not old' is a wide expression - can i expect it not beeing older than 1900?

But it is a nice one, there are some papers inside. But i dare to unfold them because of age and they might fall apart..

Many thx for the link to shtamangala / Eight Auspicious Signs.

Best regards, Joe

I thought it was much later than 1900.But you don't want to unfold the papers because "they might fall apart".So it might be older than I thought...Or the papers might have been put inside a more recent gau...
