who can translate the inscription and this seals for me from Guan Yin on the statuette?

有求必應　　-　Responds to every plea (Surely wish comes true)
Bottom mark,
乾隆年制　　- Manufactured in Qianlong Years (?!)

The base mark reads down and across from the top right as "Made during the Qianlong Reign" (乾隆年制 - Qian long nian Zhi). The inscription at the deity's feet reads left to right as "Every plea will be answered" (有求必应 - You qiu bi ying).

Is this metal or terra cotta? It's interesting that the inscription seems to have a simplified character for "ying" (應), suggesting a date of circa 1950. Or maybe I'm looking at it wrong, and it is really the Japanese variant for this character (応), and what you have is a Japanese image of Kannon (though the mark and style certainly appear to be Chinese).
