Subject:about a vase with Qing Jiaqing Mark
Posted By: teresa cordeiro Wed, Aug 23, 2017 IP: 85.242.108.79

Dear Sirs,
before I put a vase I possess on sale on Ebay (whom I send photos), how do I have sure about the time it belongs?
I know the mark is not enough but what other factors do I must take in consideration?

With my gratitude,

Best regards

Teresa Cordeiro

The website gotheborg.com shows the same mark on a Macao transfer-decorated vase of similar form and floral motif in a different palette. The dating is given as 1960s-1970s.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Jiaqing mark, but not of the period. 1960s/1970s Hong Kong/Macau decoration.

Hello Teresa,

In my opinion it was probably decorated in Macau, in about 1960/70. The Jiaqing mark also looks like from the picture, stamped not painted on, this was very common on wares decorated in Macau. Hope it helps.

Kind regards,
Xbet.
