Posted By: Bill H Sat, Jul 08, 2017 Probably a 20th century decorative vase, with a base mark that's also part of the decoration. The mark looks like it was written with a modern marker pen instead of a brush. Chenghua reign marks have been faked widely since Ming times, and some of the porcelains that bear these later marks are quite good, including this pair of early Qing Kangxi-period or somewhat later doucai cups (Link). |
